A new Create Floating View option provides large, automatically-updating views of any part of your materials. Get high-resolution feedback on the results of your edits, as you make them. Floating views also allow artists with dual-monitor setups to make full use of their screen areas.
 

Floating views not only let you simultaneously view different layers of your tiling texture (top two images) but also allow you to see how your material will appear at different camera distances (bottom two images). All floating views update automatically as you make changes to the material.
