Description

Hard Bevel
|
Controls the width of a hard bevel around the edges of the shape. This bevel will follow the shape very closely and will create sharp edges, as discussed in Understanding Bevels.

Soft Bevel
|
Controls the width of a soft bevel around the edges of the shape. This bevel follows the shape loosely and creates soft elevation changes, as described in Understanding Bevels.

Remap Bevel
|
Specifies a curve that can be used to modify the bevel's profile, as described in Understanding Bevels. Clicking this property's "Edit..." button will open the Edit Curve dialog.

Use Noise
|
Activate this property to use a noise to add bumps to the surface. Doing so will cause the Noise and Noise Strength properties below to appear.

Noise
|
Designates the noise used to add bumps to the surface. This property will only be available as long as Use Noise is set to "Yes." Clicking this property's "Edit..." button will open a Noise Lab.

Noise Strength
|
Controls the depth of bumps added by the noise. This property will only be available as long as Use Noise is set to "Yes."

Index
|
Specifies the refractive index of the surface. The refractive index describes the degree to which a surface will bend light rays passing through it.

Depth
|
Controls the depth of the surface's bevel and any bumps it may have. Negative values will reverse the surface.
|
Affect Height Map
|
Styles can automatically create height maps that match your drawings. This property specifies whether the currently selected style layer should influence this height map. For more information on effect maps, see the Using Effect Maps tutorial.
