Draw Tool

The Draw tool is used to create curves and freeform shapes.  It can be selected from the Canvas toolbox.  If you are unfamiliar with how curves work in Genetica, you may wish to begin by reading Understanding Curves.  If you want to create common shapes such as circles and stars, try the Shape tool.

Workspace

With the Draw tool active, drag and click in the workspace to create new curves and shapes.

Drawing 1

Click in workspace to add straight segments.

Drawing 2

Drawing 3

To finish adding segments without closing the curve,

double-click or press Enter.

Drawing 4

To continue adding segments to a previously created curve,

select it in the tree view to the right of the workspace, position

the mouse over one of the curve's end points, then begin

clicking or dragging.

Drawing 5

To close a curve, add a final segment that connects with the

curve's starting point.

Drawing 6

To refine your drawing, switch to the Edit tool.

Stroke Section

If an open curve is selected in the workspace, a single slider "Width" will appear in the tool's ribbon.  This slider modifies the width of the stroke applied to the selected curve.
