Light sphere
The small white circle on the surface of the light sphere specifies the relative location of the light source. Change the location of the light by dragging the white circle, or by changing the value fields appearing below the sphere. If you want the light to be positioned behind the sphere, you can further modify its position from the Transform section.

Light type options
These options appear to the right of the light sphere:
Hard Light
A harsh light is created where only the hemisphere facing the light source receives illumination. The opposite hemisphere remains completely black.
Soft Light
Similar to Hard Light, except that illumination finds its way around the entire sphere, creating a more natural appearance.
Clear Sky
Simulates the illumination created by the sun when the sky is clear.
Cloudy Sky
Simulates the illumination created by the sun when the sky is cloudy.
Haze
This option is available when either Clear Sky or Cloudy Sky is selected. Haze controls the extent to which light near the ground is scattered by the atmosphere. When used in combination with Depth, it can soften the horizon by simulating ground haze.
Depth
This option is available when either Clear Sky or Cloudy Sky is selected. Depth controls the maximum distance from the ground that the Haze property will influence.
