Section Overview

The Strand Density section of the Fiber Lab controls the density of fiber strands sprouting from the various parts of the texture.

Properties

Property	Description
Variation Amount	Controls how sharp the transitions are between areas that do and do not contain the fiber. The overall shape of these fiber-containing areas is defined by the yellow Select Noise box at the bottom of this section.
Jitter Size	Alters the density of the fine jitters in areas that do and do not contain the fiber.

At the bottom of the Strand Density section is a yellow Select Noise box that influences the locations of the areas receiving the fiber. The options appearing within this box are identical to those of the Select Noise node. The total number of fiber strands can be controlled overall with the Density property found in the Strand Settings section.
