Welcome to Genetica! This Quick Start Guide will show you how to get working with seamless textures as quickly as possible. If you have a little more time, the Genetica Basics tutorial will go over the same material in greater depth. There are also introductory video tutorials.
Step 1
In the Start tab, click the category of texture you are interested in, then click one of the texture icons to the right.
Step 2
After the texture has loaded, click the Render Texture button on the main button bar.
Step 3
After a number of seconds (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered texture will appear.
Follow the instructions in the above image if you would like to re-render the texture at a different size or export it for use in a different program. When you are ready to render a different texture, click the Start tab, then repeat from Step 1. To close all the textures you have opened, click File > Close All in the main menu.
