The Shape tool is used to add a number of common preset shapes to your design. It can be selected from the Canvas toolbox.
With the Shape tool active, drag in the workspace to
add the currently selected shape type to your design.
When selected, many shapes have shape-specific controls that can be modified numerically in the
ribbon, and that can usually also be modified visually by dragging yellow handles in the workspace.
Hold down shift while drag-adding a new shape to the workspace in order to maintain proportions. For example, holding shift while creating a rectangle will result in a square. Hold down ctrl while dragging to create the shape from its center instead of its upper left corner.
