Section Overview
The Fluid section of the Substance Lab optionally adds a layer of fluid above your texture.

Description

Fluid Effect
|
The master property that controls whether or not the effect takes place. Switch to "Yes" to activate the effect.

Fluid Color
|
Sets the color of the fluid appearing over your image. The effect of this color becomes more obvious as Fluid Depth is increased.

Reflected Color
|
Influences the color reflected off the surface of the fluid. Glare must be set to a value greater than zero for this color to have an effect.

Fluid Depth
|
Controls the depth of the fluid.
|
Waves Depth
|
Controls the depth of the waves on the surface of the fluid.

Glare
|
Specifies the amount of glare reflecting off the surface of the fluid.

Fluid Blur
|
Controls the extent to which the fluid will blur the image underneath as it gets deeper. Fluid Depth has to be set to a value greater than zero for this property to have an effect.

At the bottom of the Fluid section is a yellow Select Noise box that controls the height map used to define the surface of the fluid. The options appearing within this box are identical to those of the Select Noise node. Please note that the Select Noise box will be grayed out (or disabled) if the Fluid Effect property is set to "No."
